Got salinity? Weed issues? Help your best acres deliver more with MAP.
Ducks Unlimited Canada’s Marginal Areas Program (MAP) offers a strategy to tackle problem areas in your grain field. MAP pays $135 per acre to seed perennial forages in field areas that are weedy, saline, or hard-to-access, letting you focus your input dollars on the acres that make you money. You get the per-acre payment, all the agronomic benefits and the forage, too.*
Our 2024 Fall Dormant Seeding Program is now open! We’re offering free custom seeding by aerial application to get your marginal acres seeded now, or receive a per acre payment to seed the areas yourself.
Receive $135/acre on eligible land and get a free Pollinator Power Pak. View our MARGINAL AREAS PROGRAM FLYER for more details.
If you have field areas where you’re realizing a negative return on investment, MAP may be right for you. Contact us to learn more.

Ducks Unlimited Canada partners with FCC and PepsiCo to increase incentive payments!
If you’re an existing customer of Farm Credit Canada (FCC) and have converted marginal areas to forage with DUC, you could be eligible for an additional incentive payment of up to $2000/year!
Additional incentive provided by PepsiCo: PepsiCo, a global leader in food and beverages, will provide financial support to eligible producers (those with oats or canola in their crop rotation). Incentive will equal up to 50% of the incentive producers already receive from FCC, up to a maximum of $1,000 per eligible application.

Check out the Salinity Project at Discovery Farm Langham. DUC is a research partner and, five seasons in, the results are pretty compelling.
